Want to be part of the next edition of Food Booth?

Food Booth is now four years old. It has become the industry standard in start-up information for vendors entering the field of food concessions. Many readers have contacted me to express their thanks and to share their stories and concerns.

Fellow vendors are frequently our most valuable mentors and supporters. We all come to the business from different backgrounds and for different reasons. We all have something from our personal vending experiences to share with other vendors. Here’s where you might come in…

I’m looking for your stories to share with fellow food vendors in the next edition of Food Booth. I’m looking for stories that might include:

  • Why you started a concession business.
  • What did you hope to achieve?
  • Were you successful in reaching your goal? If not, why not?
  • How long has it taken you to meet your goals?
  • What background and experiences were you able to bring to your new business?
  • In what part of the country do you work?
  • What is the concession environment in your part of the country?
  • What experiences in your start-up did you find were the most challenging?
  • Did you experience any unexpected pleasant surprises?
  • In general, how much does your booth net during the season?
  • How many events do you work during your season?
  • What type of events do you do and is the attendance at your events fewer or more than 5,000?
  • What size and type of booth do you operate and how large is your staff?

If your story is selected, it may appear in the book, OR at a special link on the Food Booth web site (due to limited space in the book) In either case, there will be no pay involved, but you will receive your moment of fame (or remain anonymous) and a free copy of the next edition.
